Our offices are conveniently located near the waterfront in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.  Apart from this being the hub of the financial services sector, there are also two business oriented hotels a short walk from our offices.

Mauritius  2008

The investment landscape of Mauritius has changed significantly in the last two years.

It is now very easy for foreigners to settle in Mauritius.  Frontfin can arrange three-year residency or occupation permits within seven days.  Please liaise directly with our offices before arriving in Mauritius so that we can make sure you bring all the required documents with you and plan the required steps you need to take.  It's easy when you use us to guide you through the system.  Many people arrive unprepared and are unable to complete the formalities on their visit, requiring a return trip and a lot of frustration.

Doing business in Mauritius has never been easier.  The country ranks 25 in the world for ease of doing business and 8th easiest for starting a business.  Tell Frontfin what you want to do and we will suggest the best corporate structure for your needs.  We will also set up the entity or structure, open the bank account, do the accounts and any administration including trade support.  Visit our section on Trusts and Companies for more information.

For the first time ever foreigners are able to purchase property freely in Mauritius.  The Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) and the Real Estate Scheme (RES) which is a smaller simpler version of the IRS, cater for these buyers.

Permanent Residents may also acquire property. To qualify for permanent residence, you need to have a residence or occupation permit for three years and meet certain minimum criteria.  We explain this on our page on Residence Permits.

South Africans have recently shown a high level of interest in investing in Mauritius. We have a special page highlighting issues that need to be considered from their unique standpoint.

Tax rates for companies, trusts and individuals are now no higher than 15% and in many cases less than that, or even 0%.  See our page on Tax Issues.

Frontière Finance (Frontfin) was set up in 1993 to provide financial services to internationally oriented companies and individuals.

Frontfin has a number of innovative structures to help maximise the benefits created by recent changes to  legislation.

Our services are designed to appeal to the most conservative clients.

A Note on 'Due Diligence'

We conduct rigorous due diligence (Know Your Client) procedures in line with those of large multinational banks and we may be unable to provide a service to citizens of some nationalities,  or those operating from some jurisdictions.  Having said this, we also go out of our way to limit the level of bureaucratic frustration to those trying to do honest business.

We support the right to privacy within the law.
