Doing business in Mauritius has never been easier. The country ranks 25 in the world for ease of doing business and 8th easiest for starting a business. Tell Frontfin what you want to do and we will suggest the best corporate structure for your needs. We will also set up the entity or structure, open the bank account, do the accounts and any administration including trade support. Visit our section on Trusts and Companies for more information.
For the first time ever foreigners are able to purchase property freely in Mauritius. The Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) and the Real Estate Scheme (RES) which is a smaller simpler version of the IRS, cater for these buyers.
Permanent Residents may also acquire property. To qualify for permanent residence, you need to have a residence or occupation permit for three years and meet certain minimum criteria. We explain this on our page on Residence Permits. The Ministry of Finance has indicated that Permanent Residency will be applied by the end of January 2009 but we have heard nothing yet (March 2009).
